Ever hear the song "Mad World"? I think it was originally by the band Tears For Fears, but it has been re-done by many other bands as well, and appeared in the movie Donnie Darko too. I took this picture while thinking of that song and what it makes me think of and feel. If you want the real impact of the picture, try full viewing, and if you want, even try listening to the song as well
Also, I realize that the focus is very strange, but that was intentional, and i really like the way i ended up developing it {also notice the small scratches in some places, it goes well } Please tell me what u think.

I'd rather be a could-be if I cannot be an are; because a could-be is a maybe who is reaching for a star. I'd rather be a has-been than a might-have-been, by far; for a might-have-been has never been, but a has was once an are. -Milton Berle
and that picture, too. very apropriate. great capture

"But I don't want to go among mad people," Alice remarked.
"Oh, you can't help that," said the Cat: "we're all mad here. I'm mad. You're mad."
"How do you know I'm mad?" said Alice.
"You must be," said the Cat, "or you wouldn't have come here."
Awesome. It seems like the focus is more on teh cement by the grass, is it? I love it, for the basic reason that one would expect the focus to be on teh figure, but it isn't, and it adds a sort of surreal sense to the pic, a look that matches "mad world' perfectly. ^_^ I love it.

Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it.
Each day we will feature 5 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article. In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
This is YOUR opportunity to mock, ridicule and generally take great delight and amusement whilst poking fun at the beloved Volunteers and Staff of deviantART.
